Work out the cost

The monthly headline may be only part of the bill.

A price is easier to compare once you know what it pays for. Ask for the bill in parts before looking at the total.

Myth to test

Does the advertised monthly fee include the medicine?

Short answer

In a small sample checked in September 2026, online weight services often charged for medicine apart from a membership.

Put the costs beside each other

Use the same questions for each care option. Ask for written terms you can keep.

  • What does the visit or membership cover?
  • Is the medicine included or billed apart?
  • Could tests add to the bill?
  • What changes after an introductory offer?
  • How do renewal, cancellation and refunds work?
  • A vial is a small medicine bottle; the KwikPen is a pen that holds medicine.

Use a dated medicine-price range

On September 26, 2026, cash prices for tirzepatide (Zepbound) vials or a KwikPen ran from $299 to $699 per 28-day supply.

  • The bottom of that range applied to the lowest strength in those forms, rather than every prescription.
  • The dated Zepbound price offer was $449 for the 7.5, 10, 12.5 and 15 mg strengths in vials or a KwikPen.
  • Each refill had to be completed within 45 days of receiving the preceding supply to meet the offer's terms.
  • These strengths identify price groups, not an amount to take.
  • The price wording says completed; ask whether you must order, pay for or receive the next supply before the deadline.
  • The published offer terms end on December 31, 2026, so they do not settle the price after that date.
  • Cash payments outside insurance do not count toward its deductible, the amount paid before that plan starts sharing costs.
