Tirzepatide Before weight treatment Chapter index

Check the product

# Registered, approved and compounded mean different things.

Similar words can hide different answers. Bring an unfamiliar term back to the product, person or payment it describes.

Myth to test

Do official-sounding words all mean the same thing?

Short answer

Neither registration nor a drug listing establishes that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted product approval, as checked in September 2026.

## Separate the code from the review

An NDC is a National Drug Code used in a drug directory; having one does not show the FDA approved the product.

Compounded means made to order; the product does not have FDA approval.

Ask what the word proves in this case, and where that can be checked.

The words below can help turn a vague answer into a precise question.
