Tirzepatide Before weight treatment Chapter index

However the visit happens

# The visit format does not tell the whole story.

A form can look like a shortcut. A video call can look reassuring. Ask what the person treating you learns and what happens when more information is needed.

Myth to test

Is video always required, while a form is always wrong?

Short answer

Medical-board guidance checked in September 2026 allows live or delayed visits when care meets the same standard as a visit in a room.

## Ask whether the exchange can keep going

In a delayed visit, your care provider reviews the information you sent at a later time. You do not have to be online together.

A fixed form that leaves the health information incomplete cannot, under this guidance, be the sole basis for treatment.

A form that allows more questions lets the person treating you gather more of your health history.

State rules differ on which kinds of exchange can support care.

Ask how you reply when the person treating you needs more detail.

## Work out what the format means for you

Think about the questions you want to raise, not just how fast the visit can begin.

Can I ask my own questions before the decision?

Will there be a live conversation if needed?

What happens if my connection fails?

Who arranges a visit in a room if the online review needs one?

The key distinction is enough information, rather than screen versus room.

The visit rules still depend on the state.
